Default Posting an ISO

Many times I see an ISO for a provider, and it will only have a name or almost as bad a link to CL. As many of you know there are a lot of providers with the same or similar name, and CL ads always disappear so the link will be dead a lot of times just as soon as you post it. The best way is to copy the ad, and include the pic from the ad; many providers change their name so a pic is very important.

Good topic, drm, I pinned this thread & invite the ISO experts on the board (I very seldom do ISO's, come to think of it I never do them) and also the newbies (or even not-so-newbies) to post questions on this topic.

Default Research ~ The First Step in the ISO

ISO ~ In Search Of...

Too often, a posting looking for information on a provider has overlooked the first step in finding out more sought after data, that is research.

Most of the old timers consider it lazy not to have completed this, so prior to posting an ISO, be sure you have done the research by doing a search on the board. Also if no research has been done, one may come across as inept especially when the ISO is of a known provider.

The best searches are by name (or portion of) and/or by the last four numbers of the phone number. The Top Hat SEARCH here has a secondary advanced search for Key Words or Users Names. Do not use whole phone numbers or commonly used adjectives of the name eg. "Sexy" Sally, as you may get too many hits for the "Sexy" part.

As there are several sources for provider ads including boards, internet sites, CL, alternative weeklies, etc. be sure to pick up as much contact information as possible from it.

As mentioned, the life of a CL ad is short (was seven days and now 30). They then will no longer be accessible so the screen shot clip will keep the request alive.

If you can post a picture, it may jog a memory as some providers change their handles from time to time as previously mentioned.

The goal is to get to a review that will give more insight into the provider and there may be some here that give more insight for an ISO via an email or a posting.
