Thumbs up great food in Seattle

I have taken Magdalene out to dinner several times these last few months. She has connections with "The Foodies" at Seattle Comm. College. They point us in the right direction. The following had really great food:
Rachaqueenanne.com (Thai)
23 Mercer Street

Kasbah (Moroccan)
1471 NW 85th

Tulio (Italian)
Vintage Park Hotel

Ray's Boathouse (Seafood)
Shilshoal

Chinooks (Seafood)
Fishermans Terminal, Ballard

Funny the "foodies" at SCCC didn't mention The Waterfront Grill. I have similar connections and that restaurant is consistently mentioned as a great choice by all of them.

Daniels Broiler on the 21st floor of The Hyatt. Had a wonderful Filet, steak oscar-style with excellent service! House Merlot was very tasty!

I've had a great time at the Lark, Tapas and that kind of food. It is over an hour for dinner though.

Of course there is the Wild Ginger also

Is "Wild Ginger" a new lady on the Seattle hobby scene? Funny, I can't find any reviews for her. Sorry, I couldn't resist.

My daughter and I used to go to Chinooks just to get to the Wild Mountain Blackberry Cobbler with Double Vanilla Ice Cream part of the meal. As she explained it to me, that's why we have a second stomach; a "dessert" stomach!

Ray's is great. We were there on the first "real" spring day a few years ago. The first time they opened up the deck. Spectacular. And I have to mention that my originally SoCal chef friend of 30-40 years ago once took us there, saying it was the best seafood in Seattle. He later became executive chef at the Hunt Club at the Sorrento before retiring to a life of wild mushroom hunting and various other agricultural endeavors, lol . . .

I also love Duke's. Not gourmet, but fun and consistent.
