I am considering the advice of a fellow THR member. I'm thinking about trying a FBST as my entry into the hobby.

I have a few questions.
1: First contact - what is the best method if you don't want to leave a paper trail in your cellphone or home phone bill? It seems like most providers like to make contact via the phone.

2. I am a true newbie. I have absolutely no references.

3. I understand and agree with the "you will shower when you get here" thing, but I worry about safety and security. I mean, you're pretty vulnerable while you're in the shower. You could easily get robbed.

Do you have any advice for a wanna-be hobbyist?

Start with a well reviewed and well established provider who has alternate screening. A well reviewed provider who has a presence on the boards is not going to rob you. Everyone would find out and they'd loose their business. It's the non-reviewed ladies on Back Page, and such that are risky.

Usually if you don't have references a lady will want a meet and greet and will be happy to set that up via email. However, as most will tell you, it would be wise to invest in a prepaid hobby cell phone that you can keep in a discreet place..at the office, in the garage...etc. as yes, having a phone is going to be needed at some point in "this".

Also, even before a FBST you might want to just have coffee with a lady you are interested in. It is a fiscally sound way to get comfortable with someone as you still "get used" to the idea of becoming a hobbyst.

You're not ready for "hobbying", you might want to talk to

someone who gives advice to the lovelorn or join a local

church's coffee klatch for the newly single. There's a certain

dynamic/paradigm to the hobby that you need to be comfortable

with when hobbying. You seem to have issues that would get in your way.

You asked some very good and straight forward questions. As for Pooty, just ignore him. I'm not sure what he's talking about either.

There isn't a right or wrong way to go about it other than do your research (check out reviews and then look at their website. If the website it any good it will let you know their requirements and boundaries on scheduling and overall decorum. Follow it and don't ask to change it. Ladies who take the time to go into details like that are more than likely well established and are professionals), take your time, and make sure you are 100% ready to enter the hobby.

Many ladies will accept an email. I know I lprefer this method of communication. Sometimes phone calls can be limiting because of where you are at, what you feel comfortable talking about, and really, how to even go about managing the phone call.

I myself don't require references for my Seattle office. My Everett office is a totally different story. I also don't have an issue if you don't jump in the shower but if I don't think you smell good I will suggest it as in, "I'm trying to put it nicely so get clean or leave".

Anyway, it sounds like you are looking for a "Hobby Sponsor" but I just don't know if you will find what you are looking for when it comes to that specific need. I do very much believe that you WILL find a good provider when you are ready and do the work.

I can only show you where the door is, you're going to have to knock on it all by yourself. So, big boy panties on, take a deep breath and e-mail them.

We are all nervous the first time: Hell, I get nervous each time I see a new (to me) provider!

Actually, I'm sure his thread has drawn interest from many of the ladies. Some just don't offer what he's seeking at this time. I agree with what is said. Find a well known lady that catches your interest, do your research and you will be good to go. Most ladies will take into consideration your newness to the hobby and will do their best to make you as relaxed and comfortable as they possibly can. A pre-appointment M & G is a fantastic way to break the ice and get to know each other. They will have those big boy panties off you in no time. :]

First contact - email. Providers that are careful generally use email as the preferred method, it is my preferred as it avoids messages and return calls.

Cell Phone - yes get a prepaid hobby phone, check around a bit as some the minutes don't really expire, it is a $1 charge the first time that day you use so maybe a few bucks per appointment. You MUST have a cell on the day of the appointment. Nearly always there is a call to or from right before the appointment.

Who to Select - I am comfortable myself with all of the providers that post regularly on either THR or TRB, in particular those with multiple reviews. Within that, there is still a range from the "Party Girl" to the Classy or the Healer, I usually go for the Classy and Healer ones, but not always. For someone new, I would go towards the Healer end.

Safety - I tend to go minimal into a bar, a strip club, a football game, or to an appointment. I have an appropriate amount of cash, ID, and credit cards but no expensive coat, no extra jewelery, no checkbook, etc. Never had a problem though. Remember she is meeting in private a man she doesn't really know and is worried about her own safety. You are safe to shower.

Pooti- Pootie's done the hobby and is probably done with it, but he is still around playing Devil's Advocate. I've done the Clergy & Counselor thing and most of them haven't done but have studied it, probably also have a bunch of hangups about it also. I recommend the Healer types because they will both show and talk about things as you get to relax, relax, unwind, catch yourself snoozing, feel great and a happy ending.

In FBST, she has boundaries but is also the conductor. Be a gentleman and she will show you the way. Also, be squeeky clean when you arrive, and well shaven.
