Not an Urban Legend
Most of you have read the scare-mail about the person whose kidneys were stolen while he was passed out. Well, read on. While the kidney story was an urban legend, this one is not. It's happening every day.
My thighs were stolen from me during the night a few years ago. It was just that quick. I went to sleep in my body and woke up with someone else's thighs. The new ones had the texture of cooked oatmeal. Who would have done such a cruel thing to legs that had been mine for years? Whose thighs were these and what happened to mine? Hurt and angry, I resigned myself to living out my life in jeans and Sheer Energy pantyhose. Then, just when my guard was down, the thieves struck again.
My rear end was next. I knew it was the same gang, because they took pains to match my new rear end to the thighs they stuck me with earlier. I couldn't believe that my new rear end was attached at least three inches lower than my original. Now, my rear complemented my legs, lump for lump.
Frantic, I prayed that long skirts would stay in fashion.
It was two years ago when I realized my arms had been switched. One
morning I was fixing my hair and I watched horrified but fascinated as the flesh of my upper arms swung to and fro with the motion of the hairbrush. This was really getting scary. My body was being replaced one section at a time. How clever and fiendish.
Age? Age had nothing to do with it. Age is supposed to creep up, unnoticed, something like maturity. No, I was being attacked repeatedly and without warning. In despair, I gave up my T-shirts.
What could they do to me next?
My poor neck suddenly disappeared faster than the Thanksgiving turkey it now resembled. That's why I decided to tell my story. I can't take on the medical profession by myself. Women of the world, wake up and smell the coffee. That really isn't plastic that those surgeons are using.
You know where they are getting those replacement parts, don't you? The next time you suspect someone has had a face "lifted," look again. Was it lifted from you? I think I finally found my thighs - and I hope that Cindy Crawford paid a really good price for them!
This is not a hoax. This is happening to women in every town every night.
Warn your friends!
P.S. I must say that last year I thought someone had stolen my boobs.
I was lying in bed and they were gone! As I jumped out of bed, I was
relieved to see that they had just been hiding in my armpits as I slept.
Now I keep them hidden in my waistband.

Velvet,
Not to take this thread OT too much, but I heard there is a Penis Pilfer striking at night on unsuspecting older men. So I make sure I sleep with my hand on L'il Vic just to be sure he isn't snatched.

This is a GREAT idea!!!!!! I am SOOOO in on this! Thank you.
I can't say that I "just" lost 5 pounds cause there was no "just" about it. I have 24 pounds to go to get to where I was 2 years ago. I would have to lose 38 pounds to get back to my weight of 20 years ago but I think that if I traveled that far back I wouldn't have enough "good" fat to fill out some of the wrinkles.
I have finally accepted that exercise will HAVE to be part of a lifestyle change if I want to do this thing called lose weight and get in shape. There is no way, any more, that I can lose weight at my age and keep my body somewhat toned and not have a bunch of saggy sloppy skin hanging off of me if I don't do something with my muscles. The skin is connected to the muscle so I have to give it all the help I can muster up for this undertaking. I think that I have been subconciously sabotaging my efforts at losing weight because I am afraid of the sag that will be left behind and the breasts that I will lose and the wrinkles that won't have their "filler".
If anyone has advice about this special problem in losing weight PLEASE share it. A special exercise for a certain spot, etc.
Anyway...no more eating dinner a half hour before bedtime. No more ice cream as I sit on the edge of the bed, ready to tuck myself in after the last bite is eaten. No more cookies in the middle of the night when I get up to use the ladie's room. No more whipped cream on my latte. Regular coffee 4 days a week instead of a latte. In fact, maybe I will put the espresso machine in storage. No more Mike's Hard Lemonade when I can just as easily grab a Minute Maid Light Lemonade. Leave the dark chocolate on the store shelf. No more Carolans on ice when I sit down to my computer in the evening.
What I really need now is an equivalent chart for exercise and sex and I will really be set for this journey. Please let me know if you run across a chart like this. Hehe
Good luck to everyone!

I've lost 20 pounds since Halloween by cutting out sweets, desserts, etc.
My sweet tooth was so out of control, I'd eat a quart of ice cream or half dozen donuts, etc EVERY frickin' night.
But I never say never, so I can have a treat once in a while.
Not only have I lost the cravings for sweets, I also don't crave food in general as much.
In fact, when I do eat chocolate now, I feel sick. But, DAMN... my tastebuds love it.
I've also decided to get back to my gym routine.
I'll keep you posted on any progress.
My goal is to get down to my original weight: 8 lbs 2 oz. HA!

OK, I'm in...
I was sitting here struggling whether or not to push the "reply" button. I don't think I am really overweight (I'm in denial) but my pants are getting too tight, my gut is sticking out too far, and I am woefully out of shape. I had a great diet plan going about 4 years ago and had lost 26 lbs and my pant's waistband wasn't rolling over my belt. Then a tree fell on the house and I ended up living in a hotel for 5 months and eating out every meal. My willpower left as well. This really should be easy for me too, because there is a gym here at work.
The help and encouragement of friends should really help. Here's to having my pants fit again.

Ohhh now you have peaked my curiosity! Please do tell!! What should we be doing?
I think in 3 months we should have a Biggest Loser Meet & Greet to show off all of our hard work and get and put all the weight loss together to see how much it would be.
Even if you only lose a little, stay the same, or even gain a pound one week make sure you share it so that you are accountable!
Do you guys think we should pic a day of the week for all of us to tell what our progress was?
Keep your input coming even if you feel it is not a big deal your secret may work for someone else!
Thanks everyone! And good luck on this journey..we will all need it. Don't bail just because you didn't do as well as you thought you would...that is the glory behind the support of your fellow Top Hatters!
READY SET GOOOOOOOOOOOO!

The jumping off point...
OK I just bought an electronic scale thingie from Freddies. If it's accurate I've actually put on some weight since I was last in my doctor's office, but even if it's a bit over it can keep me abreast of how much I'm losing, it'd always be over by the same amount. As of today I'm exactly 300 pounds. That's too much but still almost 50 pounds less than I weighed here:
I am gonna start running again. Starting tomorrow, at least 2 miles twice a week.

Really? That's a picture of you at about 350 pounds? I don't know how tall you are, but looking at that picture, I would have guessed maybe around 230-240. That's a good reason I don't try to guess weight on review templates. (I even have trouble with height - sometimes I can't even get right saying if they're taller or shorter than me!)
