Exclamation TOP HAT CHALLENGE...The Biggest Loser!

Ok, so I have been trying to lose some weight and to get in shape. But, just like most of us...I go hard for a little while then I start finding excuses as why I can not get my work out in or why I need to stop at McDonalds.

So, knowing myself I need to find someone I am accountable to...so why not
ALL of the Top Hat Members. This will be the transformation of Ciarra for me. I am really excited!

So, here is my challenge:
Anyone who has been considering getting in shape or losing some weight to join in and post their weekly progress. We all know that it will not ALWAYS be positive, but at least we will have the positive support of one another.

There is no big prize here, just the encouragement from our fellow members! Include pics if you wish of your progress ladies..even if you are not trying to lose weight but would like to tone and shape yourself.

I think this could be a lot of fun and very interesting. So, what do you say. I am not going to post my weight but I will give an update weekly of the progress. So, come join me in a group transformation!
Ciarra

I recently posted a thread about how I put on some jeans *not* from the big 'n tall section in 15 years. I've already lost what can only be described in the vernacular as "a goodly chunk". I'm not done, tho. I'm in.

I just finished my lunch, rather than the burger, fries/rings & shake I might've had before I had a Salmon Ceasar salad, a low-carb wrap sandwich, and a banana. And no more fucking soda-pop either. My weight loss really picked up steam when I gave that shit up, even tho I was drinking diet.

Default great

Wow! That is so nice to hear. I think being a provider we eat on the run so much and drink soda and sit in front of the computer that we lose the concept of healthy. I am learning that the smallest changes sometimes can make big differences.
Keep all your little helpful hints and personal secrets coming...you never know what we all can learn from one another. :hypnotize

Thumbs up I have to completely agree...

Ciarra! You hit the nail on the head about spending time at the computer and eating on the go all the time. (although I don't drink soda and barely eat fast food). Traveling/winter is when I gain the most weight I've noticed.
I find I don't eat at regular times of the day or I forget to eat so when I do eat, I gain weight. Ever since I moved to Seattle these last 2 winters have done some damage. That's why I'm going south for my last winter up north. I love being active and that is what I crave...
I find exercise and eating healthy is the only way to go! Watching everything including glucose levels (which is why people who go on these crazy diets gain weight ...done that-been there), Carbs, protein, fat etc etc is important. I also have found that stress can lead to weight gain as well. So many factors, but I found excercise is definetly the key as well as a lifestyle change in eating.
I've lost 75, 50 and 40lbs in the past and it was tough the 1st part of it then later you crave to work out. I kept if off for years too, however got back into not eating properly and spending my winters indoors.
So all in all I would love to join you on your challenge especially if it includes exercise. And yes I know fishing isn't one of them LMAO!
However I absolutely LOVE the water (swimming) as well as Alki (rollerblading, walking etc), dancing, aerobics, the ball:dance and I just got a new bike that I must practice on for Burning Man in August.
So let's DO IT!!!!!:bouncy

Nice idea! Count me in. I'm down about 60 pounds since last September, but I still have a long way to go and motivation is a good thing.

I am happy to see that many of you want to do this...for YOURSELF! I wonder how much weight we will all lose when we accumulate all of the totals as we go...wow this could be incredible! I look forward to the challenge and support for one another.

hmmm I may have to hold some specials that are out of this world to celebrate as the weight comes off...instead of rewarding myself with a snickers...LMAO:bathtub
